My honor to be a victim.
1978 was my first visit to the Ackermansion, home
of Forrest J. Ackerman, founder of FAMOUS MONSTERS OF FILMLAND. Mr. Ackerman
obviously loved to share what he had with other science fiction and horror fans as was
evident by his generous hospitality. One time he took everyone at his home to his favorite
local restaurant and bought us lunch. Although taken advantage of many times in the past,
he continued to give tours of his fantastic collection up to the end of 2002. Forry has
now sold his home and most of his collection.
